Plant a tree as a living memorial. TreesGreenville offers a unique and meaningful way to honor and remember the life of someone you care about. With our volunteers, we plant trees as living legacies in parks throughout Greenville County. Planting sites are selected based upon planting requests we receive. 100% of your donation is used to purchase trees.

TreesGreenville offers a unique and meaningful way to honor someone you care about or a special occasion. With our volunteers, we plant trees as living legacies in parks throughout Greenville County. Planting sites are selected based upon planting requests we receive. 100% of your donation is used to purchase trees.
The Trees
We plant Legacy Trees, such as an oak or a tulip poplar, which will live more than 100 years. We select the right tree for the right place, and make sure the tree is properly watered and maintained.
Legacy Trees are large shade trees at maturity. At the time of planting, the trees we plant average 15 to 18 feet in height depending on the species. The seedlings we plant are an average of 24 to 36 inches tall. You can choose to have a seedling, a tree, or trees(s) planted. A card will be sent to the person you specify acknowledging the memorial being planted. Family and friends often choose to plant a grove of trees. All memorials we receive for a single person are planted together.
The Card
A card will be sent announcing that you made a donation to the Living Legacy Fund and that a tree will be planted, “in Memory of,” or “in Honor of”.
How do I make a donation to the Living Legacy Fund?
